1,704,346,119 of a maximum 2,100,000,000 DOT have been issued, 81.2% of the total that will ever exist.
Named a digital commodity in the joint SEC-CFTC interpretation (Mar 17, 2026).
Reported as the regulator's position, not ours. Assets nobody has ruled on are left unclassified rather than sorted by our own guess.
An asset counts once. Wrapped coins, staked derivatives and stablecoins are claims on something already in the list, so they are listed separately rather than added to the total. That's why Polkadot sits at #23 here versus #51 elsewhere — the 28 positions between them are claims we don't count as separate assets. The methodology sets out both rules, and the counting rule argues for them.
