The highest-graded cryptocurrencies

The CoinSpectrum Grade scores every asset from A++ to F on published criteria: twenty for a coin and ten for a token. This list ranks the cryptocurrencies that have a grade; coins whose launch is still being researched are left off until it is, rather than graded on half the evidence.

The highest-graded cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin Cash (A++), Bitcoin (A+), Monero (A+), Litecoin (A+), Zcash (A+). The grade rewards a chain of its own, open minting, no premine and no insiders' sale, and a deep market.

Grades are provisional while holder concentration is not yet measured; it is left out of every asset's average equally, and the range beside each score is what the unmeasured criteria could move it to. How the grade is built.

Questions

What is the CoinSpectrum Grade?

A published rating from A++ to F built from criteria scored 0 to 10 and weighted equally: consensus (two market ladders, each its own criterion; asset class for a token, ranked below every native coin family), the Cryptocurrency Standards in five sections: sound money (six qualities: scarcity, durability, fungibility, portability, divisibility and verifiability; coins only), scalability (fees, throughput against the real demand of the busiest networks, block time and block space, each on a scale, and three features: fast safe payments, pruned nodes, light clients; coins only), security (miner pay on a scale and seven checks: own hashrate, pool and validator concentration, clients, open-source node software, real use, no attacks), decentralisation (censorship resistance and no central team, who can mint, node count and holder concentration, each on a scale, then premine, fundraising and developer share after launch, coins only) and privacy (keys not tied to an identity, a UTXO ledger, network privacy, hidden amounts, hidden parties); then programmability (token issuance and smart contracts, 2 points each, and five checks: multisig and time locks, atomic swaps, a native exchange, cross-chain messaging, NFTs; coins only), liquidity (exchange count, daily volume on a 30-day median, $10K 0 to $1B or more 10, turnover, market cap and paper trading in futures, options and margin, read live), supply (a fixed maximum, or the supply in circulation where none is fixed, 21 million 10, less above and below), record (origin, claims and halts), age (a point for each full year since genesis, ten at most), and development (steady work and improvements, less unfixed vulnerabilities and exploits); the last two for coins only.

Which cryptocurrencies have the best grade?

Bitcoin Cash (A++), Bitcoin (A+), Monero (A+), Litecoin (A+), Zcash (A+), DigiByte (A+).

Is the grade investment advice?

No. It rates how an asset is built and how deep its market is, by published rules. It is not a price forecast and not a recommendation to buy or sell.
